Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data visualization, reporting, and business intelligence solutions, with a focus on Power BI. The Power BI Developer will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, transform data into insightful visualizations, and create dashboards that support decision-making processes. The successful candidate will also collaborate with the IT team to ensure the integration and optimization of data sources and reports.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI reports and dashboards.

Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and understand data visualization needs.

Transform raw data from various sources into meaningful and actionable insights using Power BI.

Develop and implement complex DAX queries, measures, and custom calculations.

Maintain and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance.

Manage and implement data models, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and meet the business s reporting needs.

Integrate Power BI with other data visualization tools and third-party applications where required.

Work with stakeholders to analyze data requirements and provide solutions to address business needs.

Perform troubleshooting and resolve issues with Power BI reports and data sources.

Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reporting solutions.

Provide user training and support to business users on how to interact with Power BI dashboards.

Stay updated on the latest Power BI features and best practices, ensuring the team uses the most effective tools and techniques.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Strong proficiency in Power BI, including experience with Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Desktop.

In-depth knowledge of data modeling and reporting best practices.

Experience with data integration from multiple sources (SQL, Excel, CSV, APIs, etc. ).

Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

Ability to write complex DAX queries to create calculated columns, measures, and KPIs.

Experience in building and deploying Power BI reports and dashboards to Power BI Service.

Knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.

Experience with Power BI Gateway for on-premises data refresh.

Familiarity with Power BI Security and user access controls.

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues related to data, models, and reports.

Excellent communication skills to effectively present data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualification & Experience Required

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

At least 3-5 years of experience working with Power BI in a business intelligence or data analysis role.

Certifications in Power BI (such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) are a plus.

Experience in working with large datasets and implementing efficient data models.

Experience in an agile development environment is preferred.
