Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Consultant to join our team and deliver advanced business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data visualization and reporting solutions using Power BI. This role requires a strong understanding of data modeling, business analytics, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable insights. The Power BI Consultant will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of impactful and scalable BI solutions.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements to design effective Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Develop and optimize Power BI datasets, data models, and visualizations to meet business needs.
- Create interactive and visually compelling dashboards that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Perform data transformation and integration using Power Query and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
- Collaborate with business users and IT teams to ensure the accuracy and relevance of BI outputs.
- Conduct performance tuning of Power BI reports and dashboards for enhanced efficiency.
- Ensure data security and access controls within Power BI to protect sensitive business information.
- Provide training and support to end-users to maximize the adoption of Power BI solutions.
- Stay updated on the latest Power BI features, tools, and industry best practices to improve solution offerings.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query, Power Pivot, and DAX.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and relational database concepts.
- Hands-on experience with SQL for querying and manipulating data.
- Familiarity with integrating Power BI with other Microsoft technologies such as Azure Data Services, Dynamics 365, or SharePoint.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or R for advanced analytics is an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in designing and implementing Power BI solutions in a professional setting.
- Demonstrated experience working with large datasets and complex data systems.
- Industry certifications in Power BI or Microsoft Data Analytics are highly desirable.
