Senior Power BI Analyst

• Dashboard & Report Creation: Develop visually compelling, interactive Power BI reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.
• Data Import & Integration: Efficiently import data from various sources, including Excel, SQL databases, CSV files, and cloud services, into Power BI.
• Data Transformation & Cleaning: Utilize Power Query Editor to transform, clean, and prepare data for accurate and consistent reporting.
• Data Modelling: Design and implement complex data models with relationships, calculated columns, and measures to create robust and scalable reports.
• DAX Expertise: Use DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for advanced calculations, metrics, and custom insights to meet analytical requirements.
• Dataset Optimization: Create and optimize Power BI datasets to ensure high performance and responsiveness in reports.
• Power BI Service Management: Publish, share, and manage reports on Power BI Service, including setting up scheduled refreshes and ensuring data security.
• Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Manage and implement role-based access control to secure sensitive data within Power BI.
• Paginated Reports: Design and generate paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder for high-quality printing and exporting needs.
• Mobile Optimization: Ensure Power BI reports are accessible and user-friendly on the Power BI Mobile App.
• Microsoft Tools Integration: Seamlessly integrate Power BI with Microsoft tools such as Excel, SharePoint, and Teams for enhanced data collaboration.
• Embedding & Custom Visuals: Use Power BI Embedded to incorporate reports into applications and create custom visuals with Power BI Visuals SDK for enhanced functionality.
• Problem Solving & Insights: Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights through data analysis and visualization.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience: 10+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a similar role, with a strong focus on Power BI.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Power BI Desktop for report and dashboard development.
• Strong experience with Power Query for data transformation and data modelling with Power BI.
• Advanced knowledge of DAX for custom calculations and metrics.
• Familiarity with Power BI Service, including scheduling data refreshes and setting up data security through RBAC.
• Experience with Power BI Report Builder for creating paginated reports.
• Knowledge of integrating Power BI with Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, SharePoint, Teams) and embedding reports with Power BI Embedded.
• Ability to develop and extend custom visuals using Power BI Visuals SDK.
• Experience with engineering metrics and data sources such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Enterprise is a strong preference.
