Job Summary

As a Network Security Specialist , you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding Web Neural Infotech s network infrastructure from cyber threats. You will design, implement, and manage security measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of network systems. This role involves proactively identifying vulnerabilities, monitoring network activity for suspicious behavior, and collaborating with teams to strengthen defenses against potential attacks.

This position is open to freshers with foundational knowledge in network security and experienced professionals looking to work in a cutting-edge technology environment.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Network Security Design : Plan and implement security measures for firewalls, routers, and switches to protect the network infrastructure.

Threat Monitoring : Monitor network activity for anomalies, potential intrusions, or unauthorized access attempts.

Vulnerability Management : Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on network systems.

Incident Response : Investigate and respond to network security incidents, implementing mitigation strategies promptly.

Access Control : Ensure proper configuration and management of network access control systems to protect sensitive data.

Policy Implementation : Develop and enforce network security policies and best practices.

Collaboration : Work closely with IT, development, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of security measures.

Security Audits : Conduct audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Networking Protocols : Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and other key networking protocols.
Security Tools : Hands-on experience with firewalls (e. g. , Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools.
Access Control : Proficiency in configuring and managing access control mechanisms such as VLANs and NAC solutions.
Encryption and Authentication : Knowledge of encryption protocols (e. g. , SSL/TLS, IPsec) and authentication systems.
Scripting Skills : Basic knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash) for network automation and security tasks.
Security Standards : Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls.

Qualification & Experience Required

Education : Bachelor s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
Certifications (Preferred) :
- CCNA Security , CompTIA Network+ , Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) , or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) .
Experience :
- Freshers with a strong understanding of network security concepts and relevant certifications are encouraged to apply.
- 1-3 years of experience in network security or related roles is an advantage.
