Job Description
- Manage and oversee the entire payroll process, ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently.
- Collect, calculate, and enter data in order to maintain and update payroll information.
- Compile summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages and report on this.
- Determine payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income, social security taxes, employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Stay current with changes in legislation that may affect payroll, Provident Fund, ESIC, Income Tax, and Gratuity Act.
- Use payroll software with an advanced level of proficiency and maintain a high level of accuracy in data entry and payroll output.
- Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive payroll records.
- Ensure compliance with current government regulations.
- Establish and implement policies on matters such as payroll advancements to employees.
- Prepare reports for upper management, finance department etc.
