Assistant Manager Payroll

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager Payroll to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll administration within the manufacturing industry, managing payroll for over 2500 employees. This role requires in-depth knowledge of payroll processes, statutory compliance, audits, and labor management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the payroll process for over 2500 employees in the manufacturing sector.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll in accordance with company policies and statutory requirements.
• Administer payroll-related statutory compliances including Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax (PT), and statutory bonuses.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Manage contract labor payroll and ensure compliance with labor laws.
• Handle union management, including negotiations and calculations related to union agreements.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees.
• Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
• Maintain and update payroll records and reports.
• Stay updated with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Assist in the preparation of payroll-related reports for management review.

Qualifications:

• MBA HR /MHRM
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, statutory compliances (PF, ESI, PT), statutory bonuses, and audit procedures.
• Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in managing payroll for a large workforce (2500+ employees).
• Familiarity with labor laws and regulations related to payroll.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
