Responsibilities:
- Create and present design solutions and strategies that bring the user story to life for a wide audience.
- Sets criteria across the project to prioritize and scope objectives in order to meet quality expectations.
- Ensure the layout, composition, and information architecture for products and product features to ensure that underlying functionality is exposed in a clear and consistent manner.
- Collaborate with PM, Dev, and Quality Leads across-teams to deliver high quality products.
- Integrate and provide feedback to other design disciplines on the team.
- Deliver interactions and flows that embrace or extend existing Dynamics design patterns.
- Guide junior designers in the team to take impactful full decisions.
- Identify and articulate new design patterns suitable across multiple products.
- Document design decisions for consumption by the broader design studio team, as well as key partner teams.
- Work closely and iteratively with developers to ensure design accuracy and consistency.
- Highlight unaddressed issues within his or her team and resolves, escalates, or finds the appropriate owner to ensure the highest level of quality.
- Oversee timelines and deliverables, guide production, and communicate evolving project goals.
- Attract, retain, and develop top talent to build a diverse team.
- Inspire, lead by doing and manage designers to ensure exceptional design deliverables.
- Provide guidance, oversight, and mentorship to the team and create and inclusive environment where everyone can do their best work and grow.
Qualifications:
- Passion for invention, human computer interaction, and seamless user experiences.
- Confident presenting and promoting design solutions.
- Customer research driven.
- A history of designing delightful interactive experiences built on new or emerging technology.
- Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team of designers, PMs and developers.
- Self-motivated and comfortable with the ambiguities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- 22+ years as a professional Visual Designer, Interaction Designer or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of lead and/or management-related experience required.
- Knowledge of user-centered design approaches and interaction design best practices.
- Strong brainstorming skills, from participation to leadership.
- The ability to reduce complex concepts to understand, actionable tasks.
- A strong interest in design and technology and trends, with an eye toward the future.
- Effective storytelling skills to generate empathy and craft a vision for the futurE.
- Excellent eyes towards details and great visual skills.
