Role description
- Supporting the Investment Operations team with
- Generate relevant monthly, daily or other frequency reports to support monthly Eagle and SAP balances for all in-scope accounts Balance sheet and P&L accounts from investment accounting systems.
- Overseeing and addressing issues with daily system breaks including batch processing and discrepancies in unmapped accounts, resolving Eagle out of Balance (EOOB) situations, managing daily variances between Eagle and SAP, reconciling differences between Eagle ledger and subledger, and conducting DataMart-to-SAP ledger reconciliation tasks (DMLR).
- Assessing the implications of updates to the Security Master File and implementing protocols related to the assembly of the Controllership report package.
- Conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) for Controllership and Datamart/Datalake reporting, which includes validating Eagle release components and user narratives, performing regression analyses on Eagle and MicroStrategy reports, and ensuring the integrity of the General Ledger (GL) data feed from Eagle to SAP.
- Determine variances between Eagle and SAP to identify accounts requiring further research
- Investigate variances for in-scope accounts, document root causes, identify and propose adjustments to address variances .
- Draft adjustments as specified and instructed by Investment Controllership for MassMutual to book in SAP and Eagle.
- Provide summary materials to account owners for certification purposes and to facilitate their account reconciliation review and approval .
- Outside of month-end close processes, provide observations and propose recommendations to enhance month-end reconciliation efficiency .
- Summarizing action points from the various meetings / Following with up with the concerned team members in completing / achieving the task.
- Understand and deliver data requirements from Senior Managers / Managers/Assistant managers where needed.
- This role requires quick turnaround and task-oriented responsibility.
