Financial Controller - B2C Startup - CA (7-11 yrs)

Scrabble is mandated to hire for a Financial Controller role for a B2C Series B Startup.

Financial Strategy & Leadership:

- Partner with the Founder to develop and execute the company's financial strategy.

- Provide financial insights to support business growth and decision-making.

- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.

Process & Systems Development:

- Set up scalable financial systems, controls, and best practices.

- Automate financial reporting and implement ERP/accounting software as needed.

- Establish policies for revenue recognition, expense management, and compliance.

Financial Operations & Compliance:

- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).

- Manage taxation, regulatory compliance, and audit requirements.

- Optimize working capital, oversee treasury management, and ensure cost efficiency.

Fundraising & Investor Relations:

- Support fundraising efforts by preparing financial models and investor reports.

- Assist in due diligence and liaise with investors, banks, and stakeholders.

Building & Leading the Finance Team:

- Hire, mentor, and manage a high-performing finance team.

- Develop team capabilities and foster a data-driven decision-making culture.

Requirements:

- Chartered Accountants (CAs)

- 7+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in a startup or high-growth company.

- Strong knowledge of financial controls, tax regulations, and compliance.

- Experience in fundraising, investor relations, and stakeholder management.

- Proficiency in accounting software, financial modeling, and automation tools.

- Hands-on, problem-solving mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
