The head of human resources (HR) in a real estate company is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives to support the organization's goals. They also oversee the recruitment process, manage employee relations, and ensure compliance with labor laws
Job Description:
HCM Strategy and Leadership:
- Strategic HCM Partnership: Develop and execute a comprehensive HCM strategy aligned with the organization's strategic goals, values, and growth objectives.
- Executive Guidance: Provide strategic counsel and support to executive leadership on critical HCM matters, including talent management, workforce planning, and organizational development.
Workforce Planning and Design:
- Organizational Alignment: Collaborate with leaders to understand organizational goals and develop workforce plans that support strategic direction.
- Role Optimization: Conduct thorough job analyses to define, refine, and optimize roles, responsibilities, and qualifications.
- Organizational Design: Identify opportunities to improve organizational structure, roles, and responsibilities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Organizational Development:
- Culture and Engagement: Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture through initiatives that improve employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being.
- Change Management: Lead and implement effective change management strategies to minimize disruption and maximize adoption of new initiatives.
- Team Development: Design and facilitate team-building and development programs to enhance collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Succession Planning:
- Talent Pipeline: Identify high-potential talent and develop comprehensive succession plans to ensure a pipeline of future leaders.
- Leadership Development: Collaborate with leadership to design and implement targeted development programs to prepare high-potential individuals for future roles.
Talent Acquisition and Management:
- Talent Acquisition: Oversee the entire talent acquisition process, from recruitment and selection to onboarding, to attract and hire top talent.
- Talent Management: Implement strategies to retain, develop, and engage top talent to drive organizational success.
Learning and Development:
- Skills Development: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and capabilities.
- Learning Culture: Foster a culture of continuous learning and development to empower employees to reach their full potential.
Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution:
- Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters.
- Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts and employee grievances in a fair, timely, and effective manner.
Data-Driven HCM:
- Data Analytics: Utilize HCM analytics to measure the impact of HCM initiatives, identify trends, and inform strategic decision-making.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on key HCM metrics to provide insights to senior leadership.
Coaching and Development:
- Leadership Coaching: Provide tailored coaching to senior leaders to enhance their leadership skills and effectiveness.
- Team Coaching: Facilitate team coaching sessions to improve team dynamics, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- HCM Team Development: Invest in the development of the HCM team to build a high-performing, strategic partner.
The Successful Applicant:
A successful 'HCM Head' should have:
Education: Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Experience: 20 years plus progressive HR leadership experience in both large corporations and startups.
Experience in the real estate or related industry is highly preferred.
Expertise: Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory compliance. Proven ability to implement HR systems and processes.
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strategic planning, organizational development, change management, data analysis, and people leadership
