Job Title: Level 2 Designer in Renewable Engineering (PV Systems)

Responsibilities:

• Design and Development: Create detailed designs for photovoltaic (PV) systems, including site plans, elevation plans, attachment plans, and electrical schematics.
• Technical Support: Provide technical direction and support to installation teams during the installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, and performance monitoring.
• Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with NEC, applicable codes, standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with client and contractor to provide technical expertise and streamline project information.
• Documentation: Produce technical drawings, documentation, and detailed bills of materials.
• Optimization: Perform energy production calculations and provide recommendations to optimize system performance.
• Innovation: Stay up to date with new technologies and regulations in the PV industry.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering & electrical & electronics engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of design or engineering experience related to solar engineering design.

Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software (e.g., PVSyst, Helioscope).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of photovoltaic systems, NEC requirements, and construction practices.

Certifications: Relevant certifications in renewable energy or PV systems design are preferred.

Other Requirements: Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Job Title: Level 3 Designer in Renewable Engineering (PV & BESS Systems)

Responsibilities:

• Advanced Design and Development: Lead the design and development of complex photovoltaic (PV) systems, including detailed site plans, mechanical racking, attachment plans, and electrical schematics.
• Project Management: Oversee multiple projects from conception through completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Technical Leadership: Provide advanced technical support and guidance to junior designers and installation teams during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, and performance monitoring.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure all designs meet industry standards, regulations, and best practices, and stay updated with the latest advancements in PV technology.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and installation, to provide technical expertise and streamline project information.
• Documentation and Reporting: Produce comprehensive technical drawings, documentation, and detailed bills of materials. Prepare and present technical reports and project updates to stakeholders.

• Project Leadership: Manage and oversee large-scale projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Technical Expertise: Provide expert technical support and mentorship to junior designers and engineering teams during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, and performance monitoring.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs meet and exceed industry standards, regulations, and best practices, and stay abreast of the latest advancements in PV technology and regulatory changes.

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of design engineering experience and project management related to renewable energy, particularly PV, EV, Microgrid and BESS systems.

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software (e.g., PVSyst, Helioscope, ETAP/Easypower, PVcase/PVFarm).
• Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of photovoltaic systems, NEC requirements, and construction practices.

Certifications: Relevant certifications in renewable energy or PV systems design like NABCEP are highly preferred.
