Project Manager - Malvan

The Project Manager for Laterite/Chira Mine will be responsible for overseeing the overall management of mining projects, ensuring smooth operation, compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and effective coordination of all activities. This role involves managing resources, timelines, vendor relations, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Coordination:

• Oversee all project work and ensure that the mining operations run efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, vendors, and contractors.
• Develop and implement project timelines, ensuring milestones and deliverables are achieved.
• Supervise the completion of project tasks, managing resources, materials, and machinery.

Sales and Vendor Management:

• Oversee the procurement of raw materials and equipment from vendors.
• Negotiate contracts, ensuring favourable terms and managing vendor relationships.
• Ensure timely delivery of supplies and materials from vendors to prevent delays in project execution.
• Manage logistics and distribution of mined materials as per sales contracts.
• Work closely with the sales team to align production output with customer requirements and market demand.

Operational Oversight:

• Coordinate mining operations to ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to operational standards.
• Monitor production rates and resolve any issues that may impact the projects objectives.
• Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and regulations.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting:

• Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates and status reports to senior management, highlighting project progress and any challenges.
• Present periodic reports on sales performance, financials, and vendor management to senior leadership.

Risk Management & Problem Resolution:

• Identify potential risks to project timelines, budgets, and quality.
• Develop risk mitigation plans and strategies.
• Resolve operational or project issues swiftly to minimize disruptions.

Desired Skills :

1. Education - Bsc in Geology or
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant industry and project management
3. Proficient in Marathi, English and Hindi for effective communication.
