Position Title: Head Procurement
Location: Maharashtra
Job Purpose:
The Head of Project Procurement will lead and manage all procurement activities related to large-scale manufacturing projects, ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of equipment, and services. This position will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and overseeing procurement operations for key projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for large-scale projects.
- Collaborate with project management, engineering, and other teams to ensure alignment on procurement needs and project timelines.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, monitor industry trends, and ensure competitiveness in procurement processes.
Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and technical capabilities.
- Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
Contract Management:
- Lead contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and project requirements.
- Manage contract execution, including dispute resolution, change orders, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure all legal, regulatory, and company requirements are met within procurement contracts.
Project Procurement Execution:
- Oversee the procurement of services, and equipment required for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services within budget constraints.
- Coordinate with project teams to mitigate risks associated with delays or cost overruns.
Cost Optimization & Budget Management:
- Develop and manage procurement budgets for projects, ensuring cost-effective sourcing while maintaining quality standards.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and negotiations.
- Monitor and report on procurement spending against project budgets.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
- Identify and manage risks related to procurement activities, including supply chain disruptions, price fluctuations, and geopolitical factors.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
