Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement the procurement strategy for raw materials, aligned with the company's objectives and production requirements.
- Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and establish long-term relationships to ensure a stable supply chain.
Supplier Management:
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to industry standards.
- Negotiate contracts and terms of agreement with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
- Regularly assess supplier performance, conduct supplier audits, and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
Procurement Process:
- Plan and execute the procurement of raw materials, ensuring timely availability to support production schedules.
- Monitor market trends, prices, and availability of raw materials, and implement appropriate sourcing strategies to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and logistics, to optimize procurement processes and ensure seamless operations.
Quality Control:
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to establish and maintain strict quality standards for all purchased raw materials.
- Conduct regular quality audits of suppliers, ensuring compliance with specifications and industry regulations.
Cost Optimization:
- Continuously evaluate pricing structures and market conditions to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Implement effective cost control measures, negotiate favorable pricing terms, and drive overall cost reduction initiatives.
Preferred Candidate:
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management within the chemical industry.
- In-depth knowledge of chemical raw materials, their properties, and applications in manufacturing processes.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with a proven track record of achieving cost savings and favorable terms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision making.
