Seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Employee Relations Analyst with a minimum of 3-7 years of hands-on experience in managing the full spectrum of employee grievances.
Work Mode - Work from office
Work Location - Chennai/ Hyderabad
Shift timings - 11 am onwards
Salary upto - 16 LPA
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HR laws and regulations, as well as a strong track record in conflict resolution, mediation, and grievance management. This role requires an individual who can navigate complex employee relations issues, foster positive workplace relationships, and ensure compliance with relevant labor laws while promoting fairness and equity within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Grievance Management:
- Lead and manage the full grievance process, ensuring fair and consistent resolution of employee complaints across all levels of the organization.
- Investigate a wide range of employee grievances, including complaints related to harassment, discrimination, workplace safety, and policy violations.
- Act as a mediator in disputes between employees and management, facilitating discussions to achieve mutually agreeable solutions.
- Provide detailed documentation of grievances, investigations, and outcomes while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with internal policies.
Employee Relations Strategy:
- Develop and implement proactive strategies to address employee relations issues and prevent grievances from escalating.
- Advise managers and HR colleagues on best practices for handling workplace conflicts, employee concerns, and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify potential employee relations issues and suggest improvements to workplace culture and practices.
- Build positive employee relations by fostering an environment of trust, transparency, and open communication between employees and management.
Compliance with HR Laws and Regulations:
Ensure that grievance processes, disciplinary actions, and overall employee relations practices comply with relevant local, state, and federal HR laws and regulations, including labor laws, workplace safety regulations, and discrimination laws.
- Provide expert advice to senior management on legal risks associated with employee relations issues, and assist with the development of strategies to mitigate potential legal challenges.
- Stay current on changes to employment laws and regulations, ensuring that the organization's policies and practices remain compliant.
- Support the organization during audits, inspections, or legal proceedings by ensuring all necessary documentation and processes are in line with HR law requirements.
Policy and Process Development:
- Collaborate with HR leadership to design and implement clear grievance-handling policies, ensuring they are easily accessible and understood by employees and managers alike.
- Review and revise company policies related to employee relations and workplace behavior, making recommendations to enhance fairness and consistency.
- Educate managers and supervisors on the company's employee relations policies and grievance procedures to ensure uniformity and fairness in their application.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 3-7 years of experience in Employee Relations, HR, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on managing grievances and resolving complex employee issues.
- HR Laws Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of HR laws and regulations, including labor laws, anti-discrimination laws, wage and hour laws, and workplace safety regulations.
- Grievance Handling Expertise: Demonstrated experience in handling a wide range of grievances, from minor workplace complaints to more serious disputes requiring legal considerations.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal information clearly and diplomatically to both employees and management.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex situations and find practical, fair solutions.
- Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
