Compass Group - Industrial Relations Manager - Labour Laws (8-15 yrs)

Key Responsibilities:

- Industrial Relations Management:

Manage and nurture relationships with trade unions, work councils, and other employee representative bodies. Ensure effective communication between the company's management and employees to foster a positive and collaborative working environment.

- Labor Law Compliance:

Ensure full compliance with labor laws and statutory regulations including the Industrial Disputes Act, Payment of Wages Act, Minimum Wages Act, EPF, ESI, and other related legislation. Keep track of any changes in labor laws and advise the management on necessary actions to remain compliant.

- Conflict Resolution:

Handle grievance redressal mechanisms, mediate disputes, and ensure the effective resolution of industrial issues in a timely manner. Facilitate negotiations and discussions with employees and unions where necessary.

- Employee Welfare:

Drive initiatives for employee welfare, ensuring that the workplace is safe, supportive, and conducive to high employee engagement and productivity. Act as the point of contact for resolving workplace issues and fostering a positive company culture.

- Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain records of industrial relations activities, ensure proper documentation of compliance, and generate reports for management on key IR issues, union relations, and labor law compliance.

- Training & Awareness:

Conduct training sessions on labor laws and compliance for HR teams and operational managers to ensure everyone is up-to-date with relevant laws and best practices in industrial relations.

- Strategic Advice:

Provide strategic input to senior management on IR matters, advising on proactive measures to avoid potential industrial disputes and to improve overall labor relations
