INVITING SALES LEADERS FROM CLINICAL RESEARCH INDUSTRY TO APPLY FOR THE POSITION

THE ROLE:

The Business Development Lead plays a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of a company. Their primary responsibility is to identify new business opportunities, build and maintain strong relationships with clients, and develop strategies to increase sales and revenue.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Identifying and Evaluating Opportunities:

- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential areas for business growth.

- Evaluate market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to develop strategic plans.

- Identify new business opportunities, including partnerships, alliances, and acquisitions.

Client Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.

- Understand client needs and requirements, and tailor solutions to meet their business objectives.

- Conduct regular meetings, presentations, and negotiations with clients to promote products or services.

Sales and Revenue Generation:

- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.

- Identify and pursue new sales leads and opportunities.

- Develop pricing strategies and proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals.

- Track sales metrics and analyse data to identify areas for improvement.

Market Expansion and Networking:

- Identify and target new markets and customer segments for business expansion.

- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build networks and generate leads.

- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop effective marketing campaigns and promotional materials.

Team Collaboration and Leadership:

- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure smooth execution of business strategies.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

- Keep updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and stay ahead of the competition.

Reporting and Analysis:

- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.

- Analyze data and provide insights to senior management for informed decision-making.

- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress towards business goals.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:

Experience & Education:

- Master's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field with a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy/ Science is preferred

- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role.

- Strong knowledge of market research and analysis techniques in the CRO industry.

- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office suite.

Behavioral Competencies:

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Results-driven with a focus on achieving sales targets.

- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required."
