EY - Cyber Security Consultant - Government Advisory (1-5 yrs)

The opportunity - Consultant - Cyber Security:

Cyber Security is one of the most important risks facing businesses today. Systems and processes are becoming increasingly interconnected and automated and many organizations are now reliant upon technology to drive business strategy and growth. Our clients are overwhelmingly turning to EY for help and guidance on how to protect their assets, minimize business disruption and improve security as they continue to exploit technology and the Internet of things.

Your key responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive security assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies, ensuring robust protection of organizational assets.

Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of GRC frameworks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and enhance network security protocols, including firewall configurations, intrusion detection systems, and secure access controls to safeguard against cyber threats.

Participate in the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), providing expert insights to optimize security policies and procedures.

Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, performing risk assessments, and implementing corrective actions to address identified vulnerabilities and ensure continuous compliance.

To qualify for the role you must have:

- 1 to 4 years of experience in areas such as Security Assessment, Governance, Risk and Compliance (#GRC), Network Security, or Information Security Management System ISMS evaluation or deployment.

- BE/BTECH/MCA/MSc (Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Telecom.) relevant experience in IT.

- Any of the Certifications such as ISO 27001/ISO 20000/OSCP/ISO 22301/CEH is mandatory

- Government and Public sector experience is favorable for the position
