As the Head of Compensation & Benefits, you will lead the strategy, design, and execution of the organization's compensation and benefits programs to attract, retain, and motivate talent. This role is pivotal in aligning rewards strategies with business objectives while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and market competitiveness.
Job Role
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive compensation and benefits strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
- Partner with senior leadership and HR teams to design C&B frameworks that support talent acquisition, retention, and motivation.
- Lead initiatives to ensure competitive positioning in the market while maintaining internal equity.
Compensation Management:
- Oversee the design and administration of salary structures, variable pay plans, and incentive programs.
- Conduct regular market benchmarking exercises using tools like Aon, Mercer, or Willis Towers Watson to ensure alignment with industry standards.
- Manage annual salary review, promotion cycles, and executive compensation plans.
- Develop and execute long-term incentive programs (LTI) such as ESOPs or RSUs.
Benefits Administration:
- Lead the design and management of employee benefits programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and flexible benefits.
- Ensure compliance with local statutory regulations and governance for employee benefits.
- Continuously evaluate and update benefits programs to meet employee needs and enhance the employee experience.
Performance Management & Rewards:
- Design and govern performance-linked pay (incentive plans) ensuring alignment with business outcomes.
- Provide strategic inputs to senior leadership on KPI setting, performance evaluation, and rewards alignment.
Analytics & Reporting:
- Utilize people analytics to make data-driven decisions for compensation and benefits planning.
- Present C&B trends, analysis, and proposals to senior leadership and the board for decision-making.
- Manage internal and external audits related to C&B processes.
Team Leadership:
- Build and mentor a high-performing C&B team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement C&B initiatives effectively.
Key Qualifications:
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or related field from a reputed institution.
- 15+ years of experience in C&B, with a proven track record in leading large-scale compensation and benefits programs.
- Expertise in market benchmarking tools (Aon, Mercer, etc.), job evaluation methodologies (e.g., Mercer, Hay), and C&B analytics.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks related to compensation and benefits.
- Demonstrated ability to manage executive compensation and long-term incentive plans.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills.
