Job Descrition
The Employee Benefits and Wellness Program Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing programs that promote employee well-being and managing health insurance, leave policies, and other benefits.
This role ensures these programs are competitive, compliant with regulations, and aligned with employee needs. A key aspect of this position is fostering a culture of wellness to improve employee health outcomes and manage employee benefits effectively.

Roles & Responsibilities
Program Development and Implementation
- Design and implement targeted wellness initiatives (e.g., fitness challenges, mental health workshops, nutrition plans).
- Review all employee benefits like time off, shift, comp off,
- Incorporate emerging industry trends to keep programs innovative and effective.
Preventive Health: Health screenings, vaccinations, health risk assessments
Employee Engagement
- Develop strategies to boost employee engagement in wellness programs.
- Promote employee benefits and wellness programs using tailored communications.
- Champion a culture of wellness through active advocacy and awareness campaigns.
- Organize impactful events, such as health and wellness camps, fitness classes, awareness on ergonomics and wellness webinars.
Collaboration
- Partner with HR, leadership, and external vendors to ensure wellness and benefit programs support organizational goals.
- Integrate wellness efforts with broader employee benefits offerings.
- Secure leadership buy-in for wellness initiatives and maintain alignment with corporate strategies.
Health Promotion and Education
- Provide resources and training on stress management, nutrition, fitness, and work-life balance.
- Disseminate wellness content through newsletters, webinars, and internal communication channels.
- Encourage proactive health management through preventive care initiatives (e.g., flu clinics, screenings).
Program Evaluation and Reporting (Wellness and Benefits)
- Oversee the day-to-day administration of benefits programs, including insurance enrollment, claims processing, and billing.
- Evaluate wellness programs using surveys, participation rates, and ROI analysis to gauge effectiveness.
- Oversee day-to-day administration of benefits, including enrollment, claims processing, and compliance.
- Prepare comprehensive reports to inform decision-making and program improvements.
Budget and Resource Management
- Manage budgets for wellness and benefits programs to ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Negotiate vendor contracts to achieve cost-efficiency without compromising quality.
Data Analysis and Insights
- Track and analyze benefits and wellness data to identify trends and measure impact.
- Use data-driven insights to recommend and implement program enhancements.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in HR, Business Management, or a related field.
Experience: 10-12 Years of experience in HR out of which 5+ years of experience in employee benefits administration and employee health and wellness
Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or related certification is a plus.
Skills:
- Expertise in project and program management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and strong data management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating program outcomes and data.
- Knowledge of occupational health and wellness principles and best practices.
