Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced GM/DGM Activation with a strong FMCG agency background to lead and drive impactful brand activations across PAN India. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Indian FMCG market, expert-level promoter management, and a proven ability to drive sales through strategic activation campaigns. In addition to excellent client and vendor management skills, this role will also involve business development initiatives, including proposal creation, ideation, and the development of innovative consumer engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promoter Management:
    • Lead the recruitment, training, and management of a nationwide promoter network, ensuring high standards of execution across markets.
    • Design region-specific promotional strategies that drive brand engagement, consumer trials, and sales conversions.
    • Regularly monitor promoter performance and provide coaching and feedback to enhance overall effectiveness and meet KPIs.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth:
    • Strategize and execute impactful activation campaigns that drive sales and enhance product visibility at both regional and national levels.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to identify market opportunities, implement activation plans, and achieve business goals.
    • Analyze campaign outcomes and sales data to continuously optimize strategies and improve ROI.
  • Client Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring the seamless execution of their brand activation strategies and meeting their business objectives.
    • Provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to clients to elevate brand impact and maximize results.
    • Build long-term, trusted relationships with key clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and business growth.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Manage relationships with key vendors, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of all activation materials and services across India.
    • Negotiate contracts, manage activation budgets, and oversee vendor performance to ensure that all projects are executed efficiently and cost-effectively.
    • Ensure that activation campaigns adhere to brand standards and meet quality expectations.
  • Business Development Initiatives:
    • Lead the creation of proposals for new business opportunities, developing tailored activation strategies and creative concepts to meet client needs.
    • Drive ideation and the development of innovative consumer engagement strategies that resonate with target audiences and strengthen brand presence in the market.
    • Collaborate with internal and external teams to generate new business opportunities and expand client portfolios through impactful, creative activations.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and operations, to ensure alignment between activation strategies and overall business objectives.
    • Coordinate activation efforts across regional teams, ensuring consistency and execution excellence throughout the country.
  • Reporting & Analytics:
    • Provide regular reports to senior management, outlining the performance of activation campaigns, key metrics, insights, and actionable recommendations.
    • Leverage analytics to assess campaign effectiveness and continuously refine strategies for improved outcomes.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in FMCG agency activation or a related field, with extensive experience in the Indian market.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale brand activations, driving sales, and overseeing promoter management across PAN India.
  • Strong experience in business development, including proposal creation, ideation, and consumer engagement strategies.
  • Deep understanding of FMCG industry trends, consumer behaviour, and activation tactics in India.
  • Solid client relationship management experience, with a focus on delivering high-impact and measurable results.
  • Strong vendor management skills, including the ability to negotiate contracts and manage budgets effectively.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams across diverse markets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
