Purchase Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement Management:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for Food & Beverage to ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high quality.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
• Manage vendor relationships, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance.
• Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and price fluctuations.
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet the needs of the resort.
• Conduct regular stock assessments to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
• Implement inventory control systems to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
• Budgeting and Cost Control:
• Develop and manage the Food & Beverage procurement budget, ensuring adherence to financial goals.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, expenditures, and savings.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance:
• Ensure all purchased products meet the resort's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and maintain supplier evaluation and auditing processes.
• Work closely with the culinary and service teams to understand their needs and preferences.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead and mentor the purchasing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Food & Beverage procurement, specifically within 5-star resort properties.
• Strong network and contacts within the Food & Beverage industry, particularly in the Mumbai and Pune regions.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
