6.61 Turnaround Scheduler (Ref Div: OAT)

6.61.1 Qualifications and Experience

Turnaround Scheduler shall be competent and qualified with a B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), having at least eight (8) years of Refineries, Petrochemical/Oil and Gas project related experience, with good command of English, both spoken and written.

Turnaround Schedulers shall be competent and experienced in all scheduling related aspects including resource planning, preparation of shutdown schedule, monitoring the overall plant shutdown schedule and shall be well versed in Project Planning tools {Primavera and Microsoft Project (latest version)}. Preferred to have knowledge in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (SAP/MAXIMO etc.). He shall have experience in repair/replacement works of static equipment (Fired Heaters, Columns, Air coolers, Heat Exchangers, Vessels, Reactor etc.), Piping replacement jobs. Should be able to read, understand and interpret Engineering drawings, Piping Isometric Drawings, P & ID, equipment manuals and other technical papers. Ability to work both independently and within a team environment. Strong interpersonal / coordination skills and the ability to engage multi-functional groups.

6.61.2 Primary Tasks

a) Reports directly to Qatar Energy Planning & Scheduling Engineer.

b) Assist Turnaround Planning and Scheduling Engineer in preparing the detailed planning packages for jobs to be carried out during turnaround.

c) Shall prepare the TA most detailed schedule, resource allocation, Prepare TA Integrated schedule across all TA related Projects.

d) Coordinate with Turnaround Planning and Scheduling Engineer for the planning of all work orders within the scope of the turnarounds and shutdowns (define WBS, work packages and resources configuration in scheduling tools)

e) Ensures co-ordination between various TA stakeholders during turnaround execution, to ensure smooth execution of shutdown.

f) Defines maintenance activities, defining resources requirement (manpower requirement and logistic requirements).

g) Participate in SIMOPS and incorporate the outcome of SIMOPS in the integrated detailed execution schedule.

h) During TA window, receive the actual site progress updates from Area Planners, verify the scheduling and progress report, progress graphs and `S` curves graph for Qatar Energys review, and verify the look ahead plans.

i) Integrate post turnaround reports and ensuring that all executed work orders are properly documented, all the reports attached and finalized in SAP.
