6.44 PSV Inspector (Ref Div: OAI)

6.44.1 Qualifications and Experience

a) Diploma in Mechanical/ metallurgy with eight (8) years industrial experience in valves and with minimum three (3) years PSV overhauling, calibration inspection experience (both manual and digital testing equipment) in refinery/ petrochemical industries. Certification and training from any PSV manufacturer.

b) Experience in PSV testing (pre-pop, final lapping, seat tightness tests, and awareness about PSV documentation). Able to perform PT and thickness gauging as and when required.

c) Good knowledge in inspection, repair and testing of gas service, liquid service spring actuated RVs, and Pilot operated RVs, Breather/vacuum beaker RVs and the like and trained by respective manufacturers.

d) Fluent in English speaking, reading, writing.

e) Computer literate and very good in MS office software. Skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

f) The candidate must be physically fit to work in Oil & Gas environment, working at heights.

6.44.2 Primary Task

a) To witness PSV tests.

b) To witness the condition of valve during pre-pop and dismantling.

c) To fill the relevant data in QatarEnergy forms.

d) To update progress status.

6.44.3 Certifications

Following certifications are mandatory:

a) NDT certification ASNT/PCN Level II in UT, PT, MT

b) Certification and training in PSV testing from minimum one PSV manufacturer

Following Certifications are desirable:

a) API 510
