L3 VMware NSX Engineer - Vmware Vsphere (8-12 yrs)

We are looking for an L3 VMware NSX Engineer with deep expertise in VMware NSX and strong troubleshooting skills. This role is part of a 24x7 operations team, ensuring high availability and optimal performance of NSX environments.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage & Support NSX Environments : Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize VMware NSX-T and NSX-V infrastructure.

Incident & Problem Resolution : Act as an L3 escalation point for complex NSX-related issues.

Network Virtualization : Configure and manage NSX-based overlay networking, micro-segmentation, and distributed firewalls.

Performance Optimization : Monitor and fine-tune NSX network performance for efficiency and security.

Security & Compliance : Ensure security best practices are followed in NSX configurations.

Upgrades & Patching : Handle version upgrades, patches, and migration projects for NSX.

Automation & Scripting : Use PowerCLI, Python, or Ansible to automate NSX tasks.

24x7 Operations : Provide rotational support in a global enterprise environment.

Must-Have Skills :

- 8+ years of experience with VMware NSX (NSX-T & NSX-V).

- Expert-level troubleshooting skills in NSX environments.

- Deep understanding of SDN (Software-Defined Networking) and network virtualization.

- Experience with Layer 2/3 networking, firewall policies, VPNs, and micro-segmentation.

- Hands-on expertise with vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.

- Strong problem-solving skills in a high-availability production environment.

- Experience working in 24x7 enterprise support teams.

Good to Have Skills :

- Automation experience with PowerCLI, Ansible, or Python.

- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Certifications such as VCP-NV, VCIX-NV, or VCAP-NV.

- Experience with load balancing solutions (NSX Advanced Load Balancer, F5, etc.).

Educational Qualifications : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
