VMware Kubernetes Administrator (4-7 yrs)

Job Description :

- Manage Tanzu Kubernetes Clusters : Provisioning, Configuring, Managing Tanzu Kubernetes Clusters.

- Hosting and running containerized Micro Service Applications on Kubernetes platform ensuring optimal performance, and ensure stability of platform.

- Work with Harbor Registry/Artifactory : Managing image for containers

- Integrate Tanzu Portfolio of Products : Integrate and Utilizing Tanzu platform with Best Practices.

- Backup & Restore Management : Configure Backup and Restore Kubernetes Cluster using Velero

- Administer ALB L4 Load Balancer : Ensure efficient distribution of network traffic.

- Life Cycle Management of Tanzu Kubernetes Platform, NSX ALB, vSphere, NSX-T.

- Oversee Fluent bit Application Log : Utilizing Fluent bit for storing and managing applications logs, including integration with ELK, Syslog, vRLI etc.

- Manage day-to-day maintenance and evolution of Tanzu Kubernetes Platform Using Prometheus monitoring, Grafana Visualisation, vROPS dashboards and alerting infrastructure

- Provide Technical Support : Offering expert technical guidance and support to internal teams.

- Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams : Working closely with development, operations, security, and other departments to ensure cohesive execution of objectives.

- Actively Plan and execute the DR Activities during scheduled maintenance window.

- Document the recommended best practices and identified risks along with fix.

- Supporting the application team for adoption in upcoming applications

Qualification (mandatory skills are highlighted) :

- Overall experience : 4 to 7 yrs with at least 3 years of relevant experience

- Must have strong experience in Administration of either vSphere with Tanzu OR similar Kubernetes clusters like RedHat Openshift Container Platform (RHOCP), etc.

- Must have hands-on experience in vSphere administration

- Must have Kubernetes networking knowledge including ingress controller, load balancer, HA proxy, etc.

- Good to have experience in related VMware products like Avi Kubernetes Operator (AKO), VROPS, NSX.

- Mandatory to have or one or more of the following certifications : CKA, VCP-DCV or similar

- Knowledge of ITIL Processes

- Good verbal and written communication

- Academic background in MS/BE/B-Tech/ IT/CS/ECE/EE would be preferred
