Datacenter Architect - vCenter Operations (6-8 yrs)

Role : Data Center Architect

Key Skills : VM ware, VCenter, DC Infrastructure, ITAM

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement data center layouts, including rack and cable management.

- Plan and execute data center expansions and migrations.

- Ensure adherence to industry best practices and standards.

- Manage and maintain server and storage infrastructure (VMware, VCenter).

- Monitor system performance and proactively address issues.

- Implement virtualization and cloud technologies to optimize resource utilization.

- Coordinate with network teams to ensure seamless network connectivity.

- Implement network security measures, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.

- Monitor and manage power and cooling systems to maintain optimal environmental conditions.

- Implement energy-efficient solutions to reduce operational costs.

- Enforce security policies and procedures to protect data center assets.

- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers.

- Oversee vendor performance and resolve issues.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of data center infrastructure.

- Generate reports on data center performance, capacity utilization, and security.

- Respond to incidents and outages promptly and efficiently.

- Implement incident response plans and conduct post-incident reviews.

- Identify and resolve root causes of problems.

Qualifications :

- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure components (servers, storage, network, power, cooling).

- In-depth knowledge of VMware and VCenter.

- Experience with virtualization and cloud technologies.

- Strong understanding of network protocols and security concepts.

- Experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM) tools.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
