Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced NetApp Storage Administrator with strong expertise in Isilon and NetApp storage solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of NAS and SAN storage systems, as well as extensive experience in managing and troubleshooting storage arrays. You will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and supporting NetApp clusters, Isilon storage systems, and other EMC/Pure Flash array solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Storage System Configuration & Management :

- Install, configure, and manage NetApp clusters, including the creation of Aggregates, Volumes, and mapping LUNs to Windows and UNIX hosts.

- Create and manage Storage Virtual Machines (SVM), segregating NAS and SAN storage appropriately.

- Set up CIFS Shares, NFS Mounts, Quotas, Groups, and Permissions on NetApp NAS.

- Choose appropriate RAID levels for high performance and high availability on NetApp Filers.

Storage Arrays & SAN Management :

- Troubleshoot issues with EMC Isilon, VMAX, VNX/Unity, Pure AFA, and other SAN storage solutions.

- Perform software/firmware maintenance, including upgrades, on VNX, VMAX, and Pure Flash Array systems.

- Configure and maintain EMC Isilon Snapshot IQ and SyncIQ setup and configurations.

- Manage Isilon NFS Creation, Quota Creation, and SMB Shares on Isilon storage.

3rd Level Support :

- Provide third-level technical support for NAS and SAN storage-related issues.

- Respond promptly to storage-related incidents and manage escalations as needed.

Infrastructure Management :

- Oversee the infrastructure management processes and provide efficient ITIL framework support.

- Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure storage systems are running optimally and downtime is minimized.

Scripting & Automation :

- Utilize scripting (Shell, Perl, Python) for automation tasks, backups, and to improve storage management efficiency.

-Work on automation of routine administrative tasks for better scalability and reliability.

Troubleshooting & Optimization :

- Troubleshoot and resolve storage and connectivity issues across different storage arrays, including SAN switches and storage systems.

- Optimize storage performance and storage capacity usage.

SAN Switches Management :

- Manage and troubleshoot Brocade/Cisco SAN Switches at L3 level.

Key Skills & Experience :

NetApp Storage Expertise :

- 8+ years of hands-on experience with NetApp storage systems.

- Expertise in configuring and managing NetApp Clusters, RAID levels, Aggregates, Volumes, and LUNs.

- Strong knowledge of NetApp Data ONTAP, SVMs, CIFS/NFS shares, and Snapshot technologies.

Isilon & EMC Storage Management :

- Proficiency in EMC Isilon, Snapshot IQ, SyncIQ, and general Isilon storage configuration and management.

- Strong experience with EMC VMAX, VNX, Unity series, and Pure Flash Array storage solutions.

- Familiar with SAN Switches (Brocade/Cisco), SAN storage network setup, and troubleshooting.

Scripting & Automation :

- Proficiency in Shell/Perl/Python scripting for automation of storage management tasks.

Storage Networking & Connectivity :

- Hands-on experience with configuring and troubleshooting SAN networking components.

- Good understanding of Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and other storage network protocols.

Operating System Knowledge :

- Strong experience with Windows, Unix, and ESX administration in relation to storage integration and management.

ITIL Knowledge :

- Good understanding of ITIL processes and infrastructure management frameworks.

Preferred Skills :

Storage Array Management :

- Experience with IBM Flash Storage and similar flash storage solutions.

Virtualization & Cloud :

- Understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud storage solutions.

Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting :

- Experience in troubleshooting and optimizing storage performance on enterprise-level solutions.
