Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: Resume is not given any due importance in selection for further rounds . But honesty is very important as it counts once you are selected for HR round .
Tips: Try to be one hundred percent honest . And put your projects and course work in the beginning. They don't care your POR s and extra curricular activities.

Experience: Hardware - Questions are mainly from ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS (RLC ckts) , Analog ckts. Amplifiers , Opamps , digital system design . Aptitude section is very easy . Hardware section is tough .I felt Signal processing was easier , indeed I got selected for that profile .
Tips: Prepare thoroughly these courses :- EMC , DIGITAL SYSTEMS, NETWORKS AND SYSTEMS,ANALOG & DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING , ANALOG CKTS COURSES .THAT SHOULD BE ENOUGH .

Experience: Questions based on O.S., compiler, DS, and C. The questions were basic, testing normal knowledge.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: It was a 20-minute round. Apart from the questions mentioned, one puzzle regarding number of rectangles on a chessboard was given.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: aptitude was as usual.
Technical was tough. lots of concepts were revisited. Digital systems, analog circuits, Computer Oraganization etc.
Tips: For aptitude general prep for placements is enough.
If you want to get seriously placed for Qualcomm then you must be thorough with all the courses i mentioned.
Only Mtechs have cleared the test. Even in the extended shortlist there were no Btechs. Everyone may not be lucky as myself in getting a Walk-in interview.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Basic questions on Digital Systems. Some aptitude questions.
General questions about interests and future goals.
Tips: Questions were easy if u have prepared even a little bit.
Get shortlisted for interview and then it must be easy to crack.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: Maybe i was already hired, as no questions were asked. She actually gave me an idea of how the work is going to be in Qualcomm Chennai.
Tips: Just clear the test and tech interview and you most likely will get the job.

General Tips: Prepare well and be cool during the interviews.

Tips: The Logical questions are similar to ones asked in CAT . You can easily find such questions on internet .

Experience: Technical Interview 1 : In this interview I was asked about Pspice and NgSpice , Two port Networks , Op-amps (Basically Linear Integrated Circuits) , Circuit Theory (Basics of RC circuits ) . Projects Written in my resume were also covered at great length . 3. Technical Interview 2 : This interview covered my knowledge on VLSI and digital system designs . However it also include some basics of data structures (especially Linked List ).
Tips: 1. Analog Electronics , Linear Integrated Circuits , Circuit Theory , Digital System Designs and VLSI. A Strong basic knowledge of these topics is required . Books Referred by ECE dept. on these topics are sufficient . Some basic numerical on Semiconductors were also asked in online test . So just go through them also.
2. For C Programming Section , LET US C is sufficient . For more practice u can find C APTI questions on internet . Make sure u have knowledge of Data Structure as well .

Round: HR Interview
Experience: Is the most interesting of all .However its again a formality to ensure i am truly invested in working for company.

General Tips: 1. Luck is an important factor in Placement . But its in your hand how you proceed in your interview . Try to always converge the whole essence of interview to your strong Topic / Point .
2. Make sure your basics are strong . They will try to put you in a situation from where the way out is only through your basics . Interviewer will always look at how you come out stress condition .
3. Don't get nervous . Always keep your attitude up but don't be arrogant .
Fun - Challenging . Interviewer were really kind . HR round was really interesting . Overall amazing day for me
