Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - I went for an Interview at TCS Unitech office on 24/09/2022 for a Banking & Insurance Process. I reached there office at 10:15 am & came to know that 400 candiates were present for the interview. I signed the visitor register & was sent by the Hr co-ordinator to the Cafeteria for my turn & to wait patiently since many job aspirants from banking, nbfc, accountant firm,Insurnace company turned up for the interview. The entire cafeteria got filled up with many candidates. I was called after 5.30pm for the interview. The Interviewer asked me that which activiteis i have not included in the cv. Then asked my about my details & requested my to take him through the cv ellaborationg all my work experiences, skill sets & why i want to chage the company. The Manager was good & passed me to the next round of interview. However the next round of intervied did not take place on the same day as the Manager left for the day at 6.30 Pm which made me annoyed & i felt that i have wasted my entire day here. Then i came back to my residence once they Hr Co ordinators asked me to leave for the day. Then after 3 days one of the Manager from the Insurance Process called me asked to describe my current job role, notice period, salary in hand etc. Then he asked me politely the meaning of root cause analysis, What is an insurance Policy ? I answered all the questions since i have prepared myself for the topics and the interview prior to the interview so as a result i did not face any hurdle to tackle the situation. On 06/10/2022 i got the documentation process mail from the HR & inimated in the mail that all relevant docs scan has to be the send to progress the candidature. I have shared all the relevant docs related to my personal docs, academics docs, employment docs etc. On 17/10/2022 i got a leave from my present employer & i was present in my home. I was checking my mail box in the afternnon suddely saw that one HR has send me a mail instructing me to ge the ID verfication through MS Tea application to progress the candidature. I jumped & joined the MS Team call & aadhar card got verfied with my face. I was shocked to get the mail because they are least bothered about the new joineess that they should at least call the candidates to keep the aadhar card ready with them to get it verified or same has to be informed to the candidates prior to the scheduling of the meeting which made a very impression of TCS. I dont know how such a big giant Tech Company like TCS does this unprofessional attitude with the candidates. They dont even call a candidates & intimate 1 day in advance. Suddenly they send a mail to get your Aadhar verified. This is not a right approach & all candidates will miss the mail because everyone is not sitting idle at their currect employer office or anywhere. After this incident a HR called me up & negotiatd on the salary part. I asked for RS 35000/- in hand but the HR said that he has no approval & budget is little bit tight so she can provide only Rs 28000/- in hand. So the yearly CTC would be Rs 395002/- under BPO 2 Grade which is not at all acceptable since i am from a direct Bank Opertions Back end Team. So i calulated & discoverd that i am getting only Rs 4800 hike where i expected at least 30 % hike from TCS since i am employed with Standard Chartered Bank. They have done a mischievious decision that is they have considered my 3 Years of experience out of 7 Years of experience in Bankig domain which is illogic & bogus at the same time. Offer Letter was rolled out on 21/10/2022 & i have rejected the offer to search for more better opportunity. I would recommed do not dare to come for an interview & keep hopes in your mind that you will get big hikes in TCS BPS Sector. If you join then you would land up in a hell with no salary hike, no promotion, no process switch over.
