Job Offer Dilemma
I’m in a situation and need some guidance.
I have a job offer with:
CTC: 9.4 LPA fixed + 21% variable = 11.4 LPA total.
Location: Chennai (not ideal for me).
Another opportunity is in the pipeline, with a more suitable location, but the expected CTC is around 9.4 LPA, which is significantly lower than the first offer.
To add to the dilemma, the HR of the second company feels that asking for 12 LPA (considering my 9.4 LPA fixed offer) is too high.
How would you approach this decision? Should I prioritize location over salary or vice versa? Are there ways to negotiate better terms with the second company?
