  • Generator troubleshooting
Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - Service engineer/technician-role is to service, troubleshoot, maintainance of Cummins engines, generators.Wherever the authorisation of Cummins is,we need attend all those customers for the above may be service, may be for a complaint, may be for regular maintainance depends on what kind of visit is,If anyone going for the job role of service technician/engineer,i need you to know about the role and the recruitment procedure and etc.So once you are going for this role they will ask you if you are comfortable signing an agreement or bond with the company of 3 yrs,so what is this agreement? This agreement is taken by the dealers(maniranjan) for candidates who are going to go for training in Cummins,Pune or some other training centers of Cummins in India,so this training period may be of 7 or 8 months of time,so why dealers(maniranjan) sign an agreement?it's bcz they need to pay a fees per candidate to Cummins and also look after the expenses of the candidate during the training period,so that's why they sign an agreement,so that the candidate once gone for training and after returning back, doesn't look for some other job elsewhere, and leaves the job here in maniranjan, why specifically 3 yrs why not lesser period?it's bcz they want to extract the maximum out of a candidate after coming back, the sites(customers) that a service engineer/technician attends the service charge added to a customer per Cummins engine/generator that the customer has, will all be taken as the profit u generate per head to the company,so that all adds up to the expenses that maniranjan has paid to cummins per candidate. So what if u get a better job offer after coming back from training and want to leave, what happens than?it's when u have a problem than u need to pay the training fees per head to the dealers(maniranjan) and can take your certificates and leave, that is why they keep the certificates while signing the agreement.
