Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: The written test was only technical.There were questions from almost all subjects e.g.manufacturing,machine design,machine tools,vibration,thermodynamics.The paper was really good.After written test there was interview and then a Psychometry test.This was objective type and for 45 mins.There were 187 questions to be answered.
Duration: 45 minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Not much technical questions were asked.When I was asked about my hobbies I told listening music as one of it. Then they asked me about working principle of musical instruments,vibration is a necessity or an evil.Few questions on pumps,my project work and industrial training.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: The toughest part of the selection process was written test.U have to be thorough with the technical stuff.Interview was nice.The panel members were friendly.It was for 20 minutes.

Skill Tips: In Psychometry test answer what you think or what is right in your point of view.Don't think what will be the ideal answer and then mark it.Be fast.

Experience: Technical questions answered well but wherever I did not know I honestly said no rather making wild guesses. Technical questions which you learn on the job being a fresher I applied my common sense and answered accordingly. One question that perhaps I answered well was relating to how am I going to handle the fleet of old accountants who are sitting in a remote factory in Maharashtra. The question puzzled me but if I vaguely remember I did mention that i have the technical skills as I am a qualified Chartered accountants but may be I am not a born leader but a potential leader in making for that i need to win the trust and confidence of the people who I am supposed to be leading and this will be a exciting challenge for me. I got selected.
