Round 1 - Word Association test
(1 Question)
- Q1. Each candidate will be shown words/action verbs in sequential order and all have to include those words in a sentence. Sentence should be short. All words have to be answered in a sequential order.

- Q1. A situation would be given to each candidate and best solution needs to be proposed.

I wanted to answer more in my Indian navy Interview but I hesitated probably that was the reason I didn't selected for SSB. So be yourself don't hesitate to answer. Be confident and be yourself

Round: Test
Experience: Technical interview comprised of both Tech and HR. Each interview lasted for about
45 minutes.
CGPA isn’t really a factor (at least Last Year).
Questions about Cochin Shipyard Internship were asked.
Questions like, why you wanted to be an IITian were asked.
Medical standards for Eyesight –permissible up to -3.5 D (Myopia).
Tips: Preparation : Basic Naval architecture courses like Ship theory, Resistance and Propulsion and Ship Structure. Special Importance to be given to the assignment in Ship Design. Preparation for the Grand Viva helps a lot
College Name: IIT MADRAS
Motivation: The Indian Navy today employs the largest pool of trained Naval Architects in India. With the Navy going for more and more sophisticated warship production within the country, the Corps of Naval Architects offers excellent opportunities to keep abreast of the advancement in ship building technology and implement your innovative ideas.

Tips: As this is a formal interview selection more than the original formal. So being confident will give you points and do not keep on repeting same points. Try to mention new and practical points .
Duration: 20 minutes
Round: Test
Experience: First the OIR test is conducted at the SSB centre on the following day of reporting. After the OIR , the PPDT and then Group Discussion.
Tips: As this is the defence selection procedure so all things require a mannerial form and with full discipline.
Duration: 4 hours 40 minutes
Total Questions: 25
Round: Ground task
Experience: A full team is created and ground task regarding team work , problem solving issues are given.
Tips: Try to be calm and work with the mates along with you.
