Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - I was interviewed for the role of SSE. They contacted me via LinkedIn. I had 3 rounds including 2 rounds of Technical and 1 round of HR. After the 2nd round they started negotiations on salary expectations. Since i was holding other offers, I had updated the expected salary beforehand. They seemed to be ok with the package even though they had a couple of rounds of negotiations with me. Once we aligned with the package, they scheduled the 3rd round with HR. It was just a 5 mins discussion. Once that is done, I was told by the recruiter to wait till next day evening to receive the offer letter. I was holding my other offers then. It was pretty much a confident response from the recruiter that i would be definitely receiving the offer letter. To my surprise, I haven't received any offer letter even though I waited till next day night. Neither the recruiter communicated with me as well, I was so frustrated and tried to connect with the recruiter to get an update. She didn't respond to my messages via LinkedIn, phone or text messages. In the following day, I have sent a text message to her phone asking for an update. Then she replied via LinkedIn that she was in hospital and couldn't respond. She updated that my offer letter is on hold because of budget constraints. Then when I asked her if its rejected, she suggest me not to wait for the offer letter. It was really an unprofessional approach from the recruiter as well as from the organization. No matter what, there should be a courtesy to update the candidate who has spent more than a week's time for their process. I don't recommend going into an organization with no values and ethics.
