Round: Interview
Experience: Duration of interview - 40 minutesInterview panel: 6 scientist from DRDO and one professor from my departmentOnly technical questions were asked except my name (:P)
Question types can be divided into following categories:
1. Process
2. Theory behind the process (mechanism)
3. Practical application4. Alteration in parameters and their effect on process
Tips: if you are answering correctly then they will take you even deeper until you yield (cross questioning) :O but dont worry, speak only if you know the correct answer. be confident and honest (they will help you).

General Tips: Shortlisting on the basis of CGPA

Round: Test
Experience: Questions were based on basic maths and english but time duration as per level of questions was very less. I was hardly able to attempt 90 question.
Tips: Firstly attempt questions from the topics in which you are more comfortable. Don't spend much time in thinking.
Duration: 60 minutes
Total Questions: 120

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: As I am from statistics background ao they asked me questions from regression and inference in depth. Rest all question were from basic stats. And yes they ask question from everything what is there in your resume.
Tips: Be ready for question from everything what is there in your resume and prepare them in advance.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: It was easy and hardly last for 10 min
Tips: Be confident on whatever you speak and prepare for general HR questions in advance.

Experience: The round was of 1 hour

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: 10 people per group

General Tips: This company, as I understand, is looking for future managers. No technical preparation is required as didn’t ask a single question related to academics. You just need to convince them that you are ready to do whatever they want you to do in the company be it coding or data entry and depending on your luck and soft skills you will get through.
Skill Tips: Cut off is 8.

Round: Test
Experience: 4 modules :
1. Computer Programing :- Code is given,we need to find output, basic questions in Java, C, Data Structures, DBMS.
2. Quantitative Aptitude :- Easy, Basics in Simple Interest, Profit&Loss, Numbers, Logs, Time and Work, Time Speed Distance, Prob, Perm&Comb.
3. Logical Reasoning :- Blood relations, Directions, Data sufficiency, Puzzle, Arrangements (circular & linear).
4. English :- Fill in appropriate meaning, Antonyms, Synonyms, Arrange the sentences, and 2 huge paragraphs (4+4=8 questions).

Out of 2000 members 400 were selected. I'm one among them.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: After 2 days I received mail from HCL (offer letter and letter of intent).
Tips: HR round is to test our communication only..

Experience: CGPA > 8 is necessary

Round: Test
Experience: Online Test + Written Test
Online Test - Duration 90 minutes + Written Test 30 minutes for Hardware profile
Online Test -Quants, Number Series ; Calculators were not allowed
Written Test - Semiconductor Basics

Round: Interview
Experience: Interview is held in either 1 round for non-core profile or several rounds of technical interviews for Hardware.
Technical round consisted of questions form topics like VLSI, Semiconductors (BJT, MOS), ASIC Design Flow, CMOS Process Flow.

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: Group Discussion is held for non-core profilesDuration varies from 20-30 minutes with 11 members.

General Tips: Never ever mention GRE or MS or any higher studies, for that matter, in any placement interview if you want to get placed in that company
Practicing quant, puzzle solving and GD from early in the semester would definitely help
Core placement: be thorough with the core fundaes

Round: Written Test
Experience: The paper was alloted a certain time of some 45 min.Quant questions were very basic.just putting your head in will do.some 15 questions were asked.some of them arre laborious and time taking. Data interpretaion was asked to a better extent. In english reading comprehensions(2) were given and some sentences were to be gramatically corrected.

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: There were 13 members in my group i didn't take the initiative but added on to the start given. make sure that the members in the group are listening to you rather than shouting in the crowd. try to grab the examiner's attention on you by stating some quotations at right time. giving the conclusion also adds on. every body will be asked to give one make sure you have got a different yet effective one. only 4 were selected from my group.in one group all 13 were selected and in some only 2.

Round: Interview
Experience: The interviewer was very relaxed.started on with my self details. tech questions were varied.first went on with "what's the difference with c and c++" then moved on to classes, pointers, inheritance and polymorphism just you need to know the definition. asked me to write a code on swap program using reference.some questions on operating systems.

Round: Interview
Experience: The very question i expected popped on me was, myself being a student of non-circuit getting interested in a software job. asked of my activites in my college( i had none).one question was like..." what if none of the software companies select you? will you go to a core job?" i said no.that is it.

General Tips: Listen to the PPT properly, do your apti paper nicely.. i mean even if you are not good at technical or answering HR, apti paper has a lot of weightage. nice company to start of your career.it has got M O U's with IIM-B ad also some big american universities(MIT). ALL THE BEST .
