Having an internship in microwave or communication related field will be greatly useful. They specifically asked about the telecom field, including what all happens while making a phone call, the difference between 3g and 4g etc. It is good to have an overall technical overview of the telecom industry than having indepth knowledge of other fields in this interview because they are interested in testing your knowledge in telecom industry only.
The HR will ask a few questions about your higher studies, why airtel and stuff.
Tips: Be prepared for the HR questions. Even though the questions are almost same for all interviews the answers should be ready. It shows your seriousness and interest.
