A Data Analyst was asked 1mo ago
Q. What are the differences between Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN)?
Ans.

RNNs process sequential data, while CNNs excel in spatial data analysis, like images.

  • RNNs are designed for sequential data, such as time series or text.

  • CNNs are optimized for grid-like data, particularly images.

  • RNNs use loops to maintain memory of previous inputs, making them suitable for tasks like language modeling.

  • CNNs utilize convolutional layers to detect patterns and features in images, useful in image class...

Q. How would you approach classification problems when dealing with skewed datasets?
Ans.

Addressing skewed datasets in classification requires techniques like resampling, using appropriate metrics, and algorithm adjustments.

  • Use resampling techniques: Oversample the minority class (e.g., SMOTE) or undersample the majority class.

  • Implement cost-sensitive learning: Assign higher misclassification costs to the minority class to guide the model.

  • Choose appropriate evaluation metrics: Use F1-score, precision-...

Q. What are closures?
Ans.

Closures are functions that capture the lexical scope in which they were defined, allowing access to variables from that scope.

  • A closure is created when a function is defined inside another function.

  • Closures can access variables from their parent function even after the parent function has executed.

Interview Preparation Tips

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - I had attended 6 rounds of interview with Axtria. They had my resume since the beginning of the interview process. The first round was an aptitude test which included questions from LR, DI, English etc. Once you clear that round, you will be informed of the next round of interview which will be with your manager. If you clear this interview, they will give an assignment(a big one that takes about 3- 4 working days to complete). I had cleared that round too after working on the assignment for 3 long days. Then there was another round with a lady from the US. They basically ask the same questions. It was a pretty easy and friendly round. Once I cleared this round, I was asked for my salary slips and a few other docs which I shared with them, they also mentioned that there will be another round of interview with their VICE PRINCIPAL. Now here comes the twist, he asked me only one question. "Anwesha, you have cleared all rounds and you have the required skills but I have a concern with your stability. Why did you change 5 organizations in 6 years? Were there any specific reasons?" I explained about every change and situation. At last he said , I got what I wanted to know. Thank you. My question is they had my resume since the very beginning, they could have rejected me at the first place, what's the point of wasting someone's time this way? I had gone through assignments, tests, prepared for multiple interviews and your VICE Principal (an old grumpy frustrated oversmart guy) says that i had stability issue. Such unprofessional folks. Axtria should make the Vice Principal interview the candidates in the first round. Then if he approves of the candidates, only then they must write the test, assignment or move to the next rounds. Otherwise all other previous rounds are simply waste of time. PS: the HR will speak to you in a way that they are equivalent to the big 4s.

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - It's waste of time to attend interview,in interview with senior director, he sent a 2 juniors less than 2 year experience to interview a 14 years experience guy. And they are asking stupid fresher level questions to me, I mean they haven't seen my resume until interview they are just opening some websites during interview and asking questions. Worst thing is they don't know difference between a frontend engineer and full stack engineer, we have lot of concepts to remember. And why this senior director is not capable of asking questions, because he don't know programming. I have worked on multiple techs in both front end, backend , database and cloud and you are some cheap fresher level syntax to me. And these guys were from Noida team, I had seen reviews about how they lobby. I experienced it my interview. This company is going down soon, and thank God my application didn't go forward.

Why are women still asked such personal questions in interview?
I recently went for an interview… and honestly, m still trying to process what just happened. Instead of being asked about my skills, experience, or how I could add value to the company… the questions took a totally unexpected turn. The interviewer started asking things like When are you getting married? Are you engaged? And m sure, if I had said I was married, the next question would’ve been How long have you been married? What does my personal life have to do with the job m applying for? This is where I felt the gender discrimination hit hard. These types of questions are so casually thrown at women during interviews but are they ever asked to men? No one asks male candidates if they’re planning a wedding or how old their kids are. So why is it okay to ask women? Can we please stop normalising this kind of behaviour in interviews? Our careers shouldn’t be judged by our relationship status. Period.
