“Can you make sure this report won’t have any issues going forward?” Is it just me or do you all also get such stupid questions after fixing a bug or discrepancy that showed up in a report? Like I just worked my 🍑 off to fix some ridiculous edge case that was completely unpredictable. Data is a tangled mess of homegrown source applications and 3rd party tools that are not being used for their intended purpose. Company changes strategy and there's a fresh gap in data that has to be bandaged. I can't guarantee you 💩! I can't "make sure".

Working at TCS has been a mixed bag. There's a lot of politics, both within projects and at the company level. The architects have more power than the managers, which can lead to a frustrating experience. And the company recently changed its appraisal policy for lateral hires, which has left many people feeling frustrated and deceived.😑😑 On the bright side, there are times when there's not much work to do on projects, and we still get paid our full salary.😛😛

The pay at Tech Mahindra was terrible, the software was glitchy, and we were expected to work long hours with no extra benefits. The supervisors and trainers didn't know what they were doing, so we were constantly failing our certifications. And to top it all off, our shifts were always inconvenient.🫤🫤 The only good thing about the job was that we could work from home. But in the end, most of us quit because of the pay and contract issues. It was just a really tough place to work.
