It’s been 18 days since Diwali now and the AQI is crossing maximum limit. The AQI on the next day of Diwali in Delhi was around 300 and 18 days later the situation is just worst. The politicians keep banning Diwali crackers to control pollution when they very well know that it’s not the crackers, it’s the stubble burning which chokes Delhi-NCR during November-December. Yet, these politicians do absolutely nothing about the causes behind this pollution. Most of the politicians’ kids study in some IB school abroad and they themselves live in Lutyens, surrounded by lush greens and expensive air purifiers even in their toilets.
