Salary and benefits are good.

If you've switched your job from a big and organized company like TCS or Accenture the first thing you'll notice is no proper training is available, hr or admin connect is zero, learning and development opportunities are terrible, you'll notice micromanagement like a call center, employee feedbacks are not accepted, no location preferences, managers act like your juniors and puppets of senior management, no appreciation.

Likes

Overall company culture is good. Job security is there. If you are able to complete your work on time then you can manage work life balance as well.

Dislikes

Yearly hike and promotion should be more logical and ethical. More eligible person needs to get promoted and get hike in there compensation. If company can a bit more employee centric then its gonna be a fabulous organisation to work with.

Likes

Excellent payment package in comparison, upskilling options, safety and security regarding cab and transport,

Dislikes

Manager biasness with HR, HR policies are not clear and HR is not accessible rather HR team themselves are not aware amongst their team and policies.

Likes

Cognizant gives importance to work-life balance and it is not very difficult to give time to family while working here. Micro-management does not happen a lot.

Dislikes

...ls. Management and HR does not give much importance to employee's aspirations. Salary is not always as per industry standard. There is huge pay difference between resources of same designation with same work experience and same kind of performance. There is no logical explanation from the company as to why it happens.

Likes

As a beginning in Cognizant this was itself an achievement. Salary is good.

Dislikes

I personally feel Cognizant Kolkata has become less professional over time. Being a critical resource and a good worker I don't get proper rating or appreciation which is disheartening.
