Everything is restricted because its a major in audit firm, even non audit related folks face the same scrutiny as that of audit teams. No job security, no work life balance, worst appraisals, favouritism at its peak.

I am talking about Digital Solutions Next team - There is no clear communication from the management or leadership on what our projects pipeline looks like, nor a clear assignment of resources to the project etc. Today you will be in one project, after 2 weeks in some other. The sad part is the firm takes every random project that comes their way.

Learning is decent as we used to work 12-15 hours a day and everything was priority task. So we were learning fast.

The work culture. I have worked with the other big 4s, even though the work can exceed the normal working hours, the culture is much better at other places. But KPMG has been really toxic for me. During the time i was there at KPMG, i worked ~15 hours each and every day, worked half my weekends and my managers weren’t still happy. Role mapping is not based on skills, growth is slow, focus is not on skill development, irrelevant mandatory internal to-do's, which waste a lot of crucial time. Management focusses on hushing the noise/dissent instead of problem solving. Not the place to nurture innovation.
