There is a lot of politics and the management does not address our issues.salary is decent but career growth is slow.there is a bond of 2 years before which you cannot resign. One the job training is not given to new joiners.

The job is quite interesting! Struggled a bit in the beginning as there was no formal training session.i learnt everything on the job.i got a chance to wear multiple hats and that helped me get a taste of different roles within the same team.

During my more than 30 years Of I got the full opportunity to serve public of the state.l got opportunity of errectiion , testing & commissioning, maintenance, transportation of heavy & ODS equipment at one of the biggest thermal power house.design work of 220 kv s/s Preparation of specification , procurement and Installation of centrlized billing computer at KESCO, Meterin,Distribution & revenue work at Lucknow and Kanpur. I got the opportunity to be trained at ABB ' S various plants in Sweden to sharpen my technical skills. I also got the opportunity in administration also. Hence I am fully satisfied with my service at UPPCL. Because I got opportunity to work in every possible field available , I never thought to change my employer. The only regret is that pramotion opportunities are very limited. I got my first pramotion after 23 long years even though my reports very good .
