Department works in various fields to provide irrigation water through its big system comprising dams,barrages,tunnels ,canals and tubewells to the farmers of Uttar Pradesh. Work culture gives freehand to persons with good skill and vast experience can be gained in construction and maintenance field. Job as a civil engineer here is good but as it is a government department stagnation create problems in promotion. Work life balance is good as it is a government job so full security and handsome salary is available. Entered as Junior engineer and promted up to Executive Engineer's post got full satisfaction in serving for farmers of the state who are responsible for giving us a good quality of food and grains. I am collected all experience in 1 year eg. Leveling ,silt project ,sifen project ,tenders ,and any problem solve management but salary is low but my experience is high .travel pass is given by all project and all visit sites

Well teammates training. There is job securilty till retirement for honest & dedicated sincier emply. There is oportunity for carrier groath on basis of seniority work perfomance. Yearly increament in pay is admisible. Travel & other allowances are also admisible as per pay scale. There is a good working enviroment in department.

All type of Civil Works is learned and experienced like buildings,roads,canal,dams etc.I enjoyed working here,specially you can solve the problems of farmers by providing them water in time,which is back bone of our economy.I love to protect the city and villages from flood by costructing the marginal bunds along rivers.Challengingworks ,to be completed within time.Lot of joy and fun also in doing works in jungle....Read More

Some times we have shortage of availability of water in the river so that we can not provide the water according to their demand.A lot of pressure comes of which we can not help.Problem of law and order like cutting and breaching of canals.We have to strugle a lot.

Construction of Buildings and roads with Design,dams,spillways,canals,flood protuction works bridges etc.A lot challanging works in river marginal bund. Some times life was difficult to work day and night .But I enjoyed.
