If you are eager to destroy your career, let's explore Tata Power Odisha, TPCODL, TPNODL, TPWODL, TPSODL . They are even not xerox of Tata culture. Biased promotions. CTC offered is not true, because this can be deducted any time. Performance pay is a big game of money laundering in this company. They best unethical practices with employees is P5-P1 dreams. You will work for P5, but in the end you got P3 because your colleague has not got promoted since long time. To promote lazy, looser employees your boss will cut rating and promote them. Biased Bell Curve, You will never get promoted if your department strength is high. Because the chance of promotion at every 3rd year will be less due to monopolistic approach of selecting cut offs. I haven't even selected at 11, where as per offer letter, 11 is the minimum cut offs. But again biasing does everything.

( In Big Corporate Increment % are fixed based upon PMS Rating however Tata Power has initiated Variable % Increase over and above regular performance to good performer. It has happened only in 2024 . Let see if it continues)

1. Toxic Work Place - Age Gap b/w Reportee and Manager. 2. Poor Support of HR wrt Work Place Conflicts or Mental Health Issue due to Toxic Work Place. (Policy , Well Being Program and etc are available and executed but real required support is not provided) Reason: Huge Age Gap between Managers and Reportee which leads to dissatisfaction in both and particularly reportee. Tata Power has very good job security which means employee stay here for long even if employee performance is poor or border line mediocre. Elder employees are in Head or Managerial position who hesitate to accept new working culture. Engineering Graduates - Fresher are way smarter and come up with certain expectations however this turn toxic when old ideas or work culture are mandated to follow by their manager or Head. Although Leadership is good but culture is not driven till bottom.
