1. Toxic Work Place - Age Gap b/w Reportee and Manager. 2. Poor Support of HR wrt Work Place Conflicts or Mental Health Issue due to Toxic Work Place. (Policy , Well Being Program and etc are available and executed but real required support is not provided) Reason: Huge Age Gap between Managers and Reportee which leads to dissatisfaction in both and particularly reportee. Tata Power has very good job security which means employee stay here for long even if employee performance is poor or border line mediocre. Elder employees are in Head or Managerial position who hesitate to accept new working culture. Biased Bell Curve, You will never get promoted if your department strength is high. Because the chance of promotion at every 3rd year will be less due to monopolistic approach of selecting cut offs. I haven't even selected at 11, where as per offer letter, 11 is the minimum cut offs. But again biasing does everything.

Firstly the compensation. I joined in tata power as a trainee. When the company first came to our college they had given the ctc break out for a package of 6.6+ other benefits. But when i actually joined the company they mentioned that the ctc was for p5 rating and that too after one year. For almost one year they paid every one equally no matter they did graduation or post graduation. They didn’t mention anything regarding housing but after we have joined they told they would deduct certain amount from our salary. And the worst part is laptop buy back they would buy a dell laptop of 30k range(on amazon or in market) and add some software and say it would be free of cost if we work there for 4 years. Else we need to buy back it. When it was time to buy back i had to pay about 50k for it. WHICH WAS ALSO NOT MENTIONED DURING INTERVIEW. The work culture is too bad.
