Suhail Bahwan Group is one among the leading groups which gave employment to lot of nationals and expatriates.

Dislikes

The old management who are outdated with their ideologies and are not dedicated to company, need to be replaced with new energetic efficient ones. The subordinates who have knowledge, experience and energetic are being replaced with those with less knowledge, skills and dedication and also with higher CTC and other facilities.

Got higher designation at site according to performance, but not with any change in CTC and improved facilities.

teammates all good, if any new projects training is there, job security affected due to COVID 19, in all company politics and partial is there, inn different different company we can learn different things, salary/ appraisal is not that much, travel facilities available or they I'll pay for the travel allowance, good work environment, over all good work and life balance

No career growth. The appraisals are a poor 3% upto 5%. The company has a policy of not providing a NOC (No objection certificate). Omani laws say that to change jobs a person has to complete 2 years with an employer and then can change jobs but the person has to get a NOC from the current employer. Bahwan says they don't give NOC. Though if someone approaches the Indian Embassy they follow up the Ministry of Labor and help individuals to get the NOC. They also take your passport away when you join in the name of safety, but it is due to the fact lot of people who joined realized it wasn't a good place to work and went away in few months after joining. So they came up with a new policy people who join will have to submit their passport to safeguard it. If you are late by few minutes for 3 days in a month they will deduct half days salary, while if you work late in evenings of weekends due to some projects they don't consider or compensate for that. Was an excellent company to work with till 2014, where the company took care of everything and let you work efficiently as it was driven by excellent owners. Terrible management since 2014 ,especially when the support functions started taking key decisions and ruined the company completely by misleading the owners.

Dislikes

The owners tried to put in place plans for better growth, job security , etc but terrible support functions like Audit, Finance, HR etc started taking decisions with no knowledge of prevailing market conditions. They became powerful and mis-guided the owners by indulging in politics and providing wrong advice. This led to huge de-growth and made the group non-competitive and unreliable.
