Work from home is the only positive through this period. You can learn a decent amount as a fresher, because you will have to do everything yourself as there is a lack of senior resources. There aren't really any best practices followed though, so its upto you how you learn.

The company policies change every other month. One day they introduce the 'Lifetime employement' policy, but not before firing employees. During it, people are given such choices that their only choice is to resign. It gets removed after some time. Some projects are fine, which have been going on for years.
