One can choose Siemens for retirement. It has that kind of Job Security, work life balance and culture. Also you can opt for internal transfer in the company to switch the technology.

Dislikes

However at one point of time your learning stops and less chance of growth in the company as people are not leaving the company it results into slow promotions your position will upgrade after 4-5 years. Also salary hike is average.

Good opportunities to learn and upgrade your skills. Good culture where teams are generally helpful and have good collaboration.

Sometimes, projects have limited scope and are difficult to get out off.

Before pandemic Food was given at a reasonable price. Apart from that, company has a very bad work culture.

The managers are awful, manipulative and unskilled. Unskilled employees are promoted to higher level who are completely dependent on their subordinates for getting their work done. Managers don't have roadmap or plan of any tasks or any update on the tasks in pipeline. Managers will not know the details about who is doing what(some managers don't even knw the names of team members or even the components they are working on). Tasks of 4 people are expected to be completed by 1 employee and inspite of completing the tasks on time, there is not an ounce of appreciation from lead of manager. Since only the unskilled leads get promoted as managers here, it is a good company for people who don't work, who are manipulative and are good at taking credit for others work. The incompetent leads manipulate the data according to their benefit for get promoted. Only those who are good at flattering the manager can survive the politics and stay here. 1. Work Life Balance: Post covid, during WFH employees are expected to be infront of laptop round the clock. No concerns about the team from lead or manager. 2<mark style="background-color: #fff5e4;">. Skill Development/Learning: No new learnings, you will end up working on legacy components for years</mark> 3. Job Security : Nil.
