There is no such Job rotations options / policies provided by the company while filling up of KPI's & KPA's. For training individual choice is not being seeked , its based on anonymous selections of individuals for training .

I am presently woring in NLCIL, newly developed mines at Smabalpur, Odisha. This mines is based on the MDO concept. I am looking after all the Mechanical related statutory requirement fulfillment's & its adherence.

1. HR should try to save manpower cost by firing themselves first. There is different rules for different individuals. Never seen such biased individuals, who despite availability of rules, misinterpret the same for just sadistic pleasure. 2. Too much favours to the favourites. The managementshould be unbiased towards all employees</mark>. Some employees are given posts where they have nowhere to sign and just enjoy. 3. New projects have NIL facilities. 4. Corruption in departments like Civil, Electrical, Mines, NSU, MM. 5. Regionalism amongst employees. 6. Other PSUs have a three year promotion policy. With a mass retirement of middle management staff, how shall you replace them with fresh blood. Lateral entries?? How much do they know about our company? 7. Most employees are lethargic and only focus on their personal life. Such kind of people are a bad example for those who work hard. 8. This company is dying nonetheless. Ghatampur shall not come before mid 2024. Pachwara is in doubt. Mine I reserves are over. Mine II too shall be over in next 25 years. TPS II Exp power prices are too high. 9. Finance Department acts like Vigilance Department for petty bills and doesn't even think twice before paying Rs. 100 crore advance to a sick company like BGR without any bank guarantee or even paying crores and crores to Adani as an advance. These intelligent people return the bills even after certification by technical department. All their functions like bill accounting and others must be outsourced to KPO....Read More

My Overall experience was very satisfactory. The Management and my colleagues was very supportive and motivating. There are endless opportunities available to learn in this company. Also,New ideas are welcomed here if it adds benefit to the company in long term.

There are nothing to dislike but some policies are traditional and not effective now.

Good work environment and culture. Teammates are supportive and the management is transparent. There is a huge cafeteria and gaming arcade for chilling. Company policies are good, appraisals are fair and they give good salary hike and bonus every year.

Dislikes

There is a lot of politics and the management doesn’t address our issues. Salary is decent but career growth is slow. There is a bond of 2 years before which you cannot resign. On the job training is not given to new joinees.

NLC is a good company with greater goals, Management is very cooperative to all trainees and have well knowledge about their duties and responsibilities.

Dislikes

I suggest to take consideration in recruiting GATS after their training period through exam or interview, which will help you in future because they already trained one year in your company which avoids further training.

Manpower planning was poor in Management side
